The Authors

Snack- Goldfish

Beverage- Hot Chocolate

TV- Chuck, Castle, Glee, 30 Rock, Outsourced, The Office, Sherlock

Activities- Choir, Yearbook, Drama Club, Camp Fire USA, Show Choir Crew, Piano

Guilty Pleasure- Chick flicks and tragedies (never in the same movie though, that’s just depressing)

Genre- Fantasy/Fiction

Basically, I’m a bit of a nutter. I speak French and a minimal amount of Spanish and Russian (minimal as in ‘hola! no comprende!’). I indulge my inner (see: very prominant outer) nerd with movies and politics.

I was born to travel. If I’m being overdramatic, I’d say I was born to have an adventure of the epic-literature-variety. As a dirt poor high school student, though, that’s really hard to accomplish. So I read, and I soak up anything to do with other cultures. And I dream. And when I have a very specific kind of book I want to read, and it doesn’t actually exist, or there’s a place I want to go, and it doesn’t actually exist, I write.

A wonderful list of my favorites..

Author- Meg Cabot, Cassandra Clare, Richelle Mead

Book Series-Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare, Mediator by Meg Cabot, 1-800-Where-R-You (AKA Vanished) by Meg Cabot, Heather Wells by Meg Cabot, Heist Society by Ally Carter

Book- Heist Society by Ally Carter, Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, City of Bones by Cassandra Clare; basically all of my favorite series.

Movies- Letters to Juliet, Pirates of the Caribbean 1, Sucker Punch

Beverage- Lemonade

Snack- Pretzels

TV Shows- Leverage, Psych

Fascinations- Languages. I’ve found them interesting since I was little. I have so many language books littering my desk…

Color- Reds, purples, pinks, and most recently, gold. Oh, and sparkles! No, it’s not really a color. But still.

Hobbies- Sew, cross-stitch, make jewelry, basically do anything sold at Hobby Lobby. My view is, why buy something if you can make it? And a lot of times, I can make it better.

Quote- If there’s a book you really want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then you must write it.  ~Toni Morrison

I figured out that I wanted to be a writer not too long ago. My mom told me from forever ago that I was going to, but I am a pretty defiant kid so I tried to resist it.

I read a lot of books but only have a couple I actually like. And almost all of them are by Meg Cabot. It frustrated me that all the books I read were crap, and I had tons of ideas on how to make them better. “Here’s what I would do…” Eventually, I figured out that by writing my own stories, I could make WHATEVER I WANT happen. And I love that.
